Topic: acts_as_authenticated is giving an error even on a clean app

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with my own login code, so I thought I'd take a look at acts_as_Authenticated and see what it was about.

It turns out that a lot of what I've written is similar (I'm working from a couple of different books.

Both my own code and acts_as_authenticated are giving me this error:

!map:HashWithIndifferentAccess

I've installed acts_as_authenticated on a brand new app so that I could really try to understand what it does.  But right now, I can't even log in smile

What's going on here?

Can you post the full error message along with the stack trace?

Re: acts_as_authenticated is giving an error even on a clean app

Hi Ryan,

I actually am not sure it was an error message.  I saw !map:HashWithIndifferentAccess in my debug of params, and thought that was why my action was not logging a user in and just dumping them back to the login page.  I've been working with someone on this, and we used his login action, and it works fine with the rest of my code and that message in the debug.

I'm going to come back to my action and see if I can understand what's going on, and when I do I will post the results here.

Thanks for taking some time to reply, Ryan.
