Topic: HELPPP Problems to instal Ruby on rails , Windows XP

Hello,

I just bought the book Build Your Own Ruby on Rails Web Applications, i tried to install the version for windows that is mentioned there (1.3a-win.zip) but had some problems.

After installing and extracting all to C:\InstantRails\ i tried to do the next step which is to right-click on the red I icon in the system tray and from the menu select Rails Aplication > Open Ruby Console.
Once the console opens i try to write :

C:\InstantRails\InstantRails\rails_apps>gem install rails --include-dependencies

but i have aproblem that says:

Attempting local installation of 'rails'
Local gem file not found:rails*gem
Attempting remote installation of 'rails'
ERROR: While executing gem ... <SocketError>
getaddrinfo: no adress asociated with hostname.

In the book supposedly it has to be like:

C:\InstantRails> gem install rails --include-dependencies

How can i change it to be like the book says??

HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM , PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!

Thank you very much,

Carlos
