Topic: Error when trying to create tables

I'm following this tutorial with IntantRails:

http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2006 … tml?page=2

And when I try to create the tables from a file (the database was successfuly created), I have this error:
Error 1045 (28000): Access Denied  for user 'OBDC'@'localhost' (using password=NO)

I'm stuck there...

Thanks for any help.

Melanie

In the tutorial they don't use a username when accessing the database, but normally with mysql the default user is 'root'.

Can you open the database just doing
mysql cookbook2_development

or do you need to do
mysql cookbook2_development -u root
?

if the latter, then add '-u root' to the relevant lines from the tutorial when you run them on your machine.
