The main sources of info are in the form of the main two bibles and Railscasts
AWDWR http://www.pragprog.com/titles/rails3/a … rd-edition
The pdf is around £15 and is pretty essential
The pick axe book now called Programming Ruby
http://www.pragprog.com/titles/ruby3/pr … g-ruby-1-9
Railscasts.
Ryan does a new cast every monday
http://railscasts.com/
He also does full blown paid for casts for only a couple of pounds.
they are all awesome resources and between them give you all the information you could possibly want to know.

What you want and what you need are too often not the same thing!
When your head is hurting from trying to solve a problem, stop standing on it. When you are the right way up you will see the problem differently and you just might find the solution.
