Topic: Security Section in Forum

Just a suggestion..

Security is obviously a huge topic nowadays and extremely important in web development. Unfortunately, way too many developers aren't as knowledgeable in the area and many times overlook security issues. I feel like a lot of people could benefit from a security section in the forum to discuss security issues and how to secure your applications. Personally, security fascinates me too so I'd like to see a security section in the forum.

Maybe people disagree with this, just a suggestion...

Re: Security Section in Forum

That's not a bad idea.  I'll make you a deal.

If you can find 20 recent (i.e., last 3 months) topics that you think would belong in a security section, and can find 5 more people who think it is a good idea (I don't count!), I'll make it happen. wink

Alright I'm new so I don't know many people or anything but I'll see what I can do...

Anyone else think it's a good idea?

Re: Security Section in Forum

I'd like to recommend the following topics in a Security section

Securing your App WRT Active Record, (I posted recently to a thread about it,)

Securing Rails in general (stuff that applies to config/*.rb)

Securing Rails from the top down (i.e. stuff that applies to Apache, etc.)
