Topic: Opening a jQuery popup instead of the default edit page.

I have a link which goes to the default edit page. http://127.0.0.1:3000/calendars/16/edit I want to invoke a jQuery popup to handle the edit action. I want the popup to have the editable section. Is there a way to achieve this ?

Yes,  you could use JQuery UI,  it has a dialog widget.  The JQuery UI dialog is a bit more than a popup,  it's a completely new window in your app,  you can drag it around, resize it, x out of it.  You could put an edit form in the dialog.

Brad, I am on with jQueryUI. But when I click on edit link, it goes to the default Edit action. I dont know how I can invoke jQueryUI popup with the input fields instead of going to the the edit page. I guess, I will need to create a hidden DIV with the input fields and use that div for the popup but I am not aware of the implementation.
Also, is there a good tutorial for Rails 3 and Javascript with Ajax ?
