Topic: Need input on selecting a front end framework

I am a back end guy and need assistance in selecting a front end framework for a RoR back end.

So far my team is evenly split between sproutcore and backbone.js + coffeescript.  The app that I need to build has a Rich UI (think google docs like).   Another part of it is heavy with forms that should hide and display portions as you fill it out (annoying but that is what business wants).

Any input, advice, direction would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need input on selecting a front end framework

Okay this morning I heard a long speech from one of my engineers how sproutcore is totally bloated and I should drop it and focus on backbone.js solely.   Main argument was the sproutcore is for building out desktop apps and will likely fail on the web.  We are a small shop and need to build a Rich interface fast.  I am being told that cannot happen with sproutcore due to a high large learning curve (due to bloat -- as explained to me).

Does that sound right?  My team is now leaning towards coffee script and backbone.js ....   any sproutcore fans out there?  Please speak up and help me out.
