Topic: rails server keeps crashing

After a long and ardous process of setting up and installing Ruby and Rails I got to the point where I can start the Rails Server but after a few seconds it crashes.  Btw, I'm using MySql instead of Sqlite.  Here's the output (I tried port 3000 and 3001 and same thing happens):

=> Booting WEBrick
=> Rails 3.2.2 application starting in development on http://0.0.0.0:3001
=> Call with -d to detach
=> Ctrl-C to shutdown server

Re: rails server keeps crashing

ok, I killed the process and got the server to hang around, but now I'm getting this error:

ActiveRecord::ConnectionNotEstablished

btw, I'm using MySQL instead of Sqlite

Re: rails server keeps crashing

ok, I got it working by rebuilding the project.  The only problem now is that WEBrick won't shut down with Ctrl-C, I have to use Ctrl-Z which leaves the process running and then I have to manually kill the process.
