Topic: SVN Import?

As some of you may know, my computer bombed out on me recently and I lost all my local files.

I'm just wondering what the proper way would be to recover the application that is on my server. Can I import it with SVN? Will I have to cap it all over again?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Re: SVN Import?

If I understand you correctly, you have lost all your files on your local computer, and on the server you have an installed version of your application. But you don't have a subversion repository? Or was the repository on your local machine?

Anyway, If you've lost the repository the best is to create a new repository somewhere (with backup ;-) ) and then, as you said, import all the files from your server.

Re: SVN Import?

I do have a repository online.. thank heavens.

I was using deprec for deployment so I am wondering how I can get back my app with the proper deploy settings.

Re: SVN Import?

After some noodling about on IRC, it seems that a simple

svn co http://www.url.com

Is the mealticket... too bad I cant reccover my deploy.rb file though
