Topic: alternate html link with remote_function when javascript is disabled

how can I specify an alternate link (in an image map) in case the client's browser does not support javascript?
I have to use an onclick call and a remote function, but what would be the equivalent of the alternate href link of link_to_remote?
remote_function supports only one parameter

link_to_remote(country.name,
    {:url => { :action => :chose_country, :country_id=> i, :map=>@area_map.id}},
    { :href => url_for( :action => :chose_country, :country_id=>i,:map=>@area_map.id ) })

Is there a command to check that javascript is supported by the client?

Re: alternate html link with remote_function when javascript is disabled

UJS is a great way to handle it. It removes the JavaScript from inline with your HTML so that fall-back/standard actions are specified as normal links/form submits and the JavaScript is added on at page load 'unobtrusively'.
