Topic: rspec and acts_as_ferret: possible to mock/stub non-methods?

Hi, I'm testing a model which uses acts_as_ferret, and I'd like to override some of the model's behaviour, namely:

acts_as_ferret :remote => false # (it's set to true in the model)

Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this?
It's not a method, so I can't see how to mock/stub it... am I missing something?

Perhaps the ferret server is not running in test environment...?
Anyway I just want my tests to pass (I don't care about ferret in these tests, since I know it works...)

Found a solution: to disable ferret for tests, simply comment out the test configuration in config/ferret_server.yml
