Topic: Rails Podcasting

Has anyone done podcasting on rails?  I've been searching for an rss aggregator in the rails api and all I've found is a helper called auto_discovery_link_tag.  If you know of any documentation on the subject I'd appreciate the post.

Re: Rails Podcasting

I wrote a blog post about doing RSS in Rails a while ago (http://www.supersonicfeet.com/2006/07/0 … t-was-easy), though it was done using the code from the Rails Recipes book, so I think I'd better not give any more of the code than the .rxml in the blog post.

I'd suggest getting the Rails Recipes book (can buy it direct from Pragmatic Programmers in hard copy and/or PDF quick-fix form at http://pragmaticprogrammer.com/titles/fr_rr/index.html) as there's plenty of other good stuff in it too, but this page on the Rails wiki should hopefully get you started.

Sorry, there is no RSS aggregator built into Rails, but you may find help in the FeedTools gem.  I can't remember if it aggregates or not.  Otherwise, if you write one, I'm sure many people would love to see it as a plugin.
