Topic: Portable production on a MacBook/MacBook Pro...

I might need to run a modest sized Rails app at several private non-connected intranet locations in the future.  I was wondering if anyone had any rough metric on the number of requests/second a fairly standard MacBook or MacBookPro can handle in Production mode  (obviously the exact number will be highly variable).  Assuming 1GB RAM, with PostGreSQL (or MySQL) running on the same box, I'd guess you could get about 5-8 Mongrels running so it should be a fairly responsive portable server....  Rough ballpark is that I'll need to support 100 req/min to a very simple action along with another 60 req/min to a very heavy action... both for about 12 hours straight..... Sounds totally within the realm of reasonable to me, but before I bump up my new laptop purchasing schedule, I wanted to see if anyone had tried this kind of "portable deployment"...

Thanks
