Topic: Ruby on Rails Forum

My friend happened to stumble across this site and introduced me to it. He also pointed out the message up the top right hand corner of the screen.

Coincidentally, I am developing such a forum application and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help out.

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

you're link there is broken.

I am pretty new to Ruby, but I would be interested in joining your team. I have done work on a few medium-sized webapps with Java/JSP. I will soon have Ruby/Rails figured out, and may be able to contribute.

Let me know if I can help!

Check out my Blog.

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

What excellent timing you have. I saw you in the logs when I was putting a bad alias into the configs, it seems you tried to get on at the time when I was testing.

You can help indeed, I have a sourceforge page too. https://sourceforge.net/projects/rubybb

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

where do I go to join the sourceforge project?

Check out my Blog.

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

Create a new account on sourceforge. Then i beleive you will be able to post within the rubybb sourceforge project.

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

Sorry about it being down a lot of the time, I keep switching between Windows and Ubuntu to try and get it working on both systems

At the moment I am trying to find a box I can host it on. If anyone knows of anything, can they contact me? Thanks.

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

Bump!

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

You should probably fix the link you posted in the first post in this thread, as it is still broken.

Re: Ruby on Rails Forum

Let me ask Vinnie if we could help out. Otherwise, if you're looking for something really cheap... I am not sure if this is still valid, but you can get a year of hosting at dot5 for $11.90.

Details: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=386930

I jumped at it in early June, but haven't tested anything out yet (mostly just using the account to pass around large files with my business partner).  But for $12, you really can't go wrong. smile  I'd email them first to make sure the deal is still valid.
