Topic: table defaults

pardon me for caving in and asking this ... I can write a class to inherit from ActiveRecord::Migration (I believe) to override create_table but, after considering it, I realized people must need this enough for it to be already Rails-ified ...

_every_ table I create in my project should have default columns :created_at and :updated_at ... how can I DRY it up so I do not need to add these columns in each migration I write?

Re: table defaults

There's a plugin that does exactly that.

http://www.redhillconsulting.com.au/rai … migrations

Those Red Hill guys are pretty smart--I find almost all of their plugins extremely useful.
