Topic: What are the best ways to document my rails application

I know that I can create a set of rdoc pages by doing a rake doc:app.

Are there some good standards out there for putting useful information into the comments so that the automatic documentation is somewhat more descriptive.

I would like to have a comment for each non-obvious method, or for critical ones that effect large portions of my app.

I would also like to have a space for discussing some of the theory and basic assumptions made during development.

I recognize that a lot of the general stuff should probably go in the README_FOR_APP doc.

I would just like some ideas about how others are using the rails tools to generate better than average program documentation.

I've not used the rdoc stuff much myself but i know you can embed links in it, when i get round to documenting all the stuff i've done in a recent project i was planning to set up a wiki that i could link to that would allow me to expand on the more complicated bits while keeping the rdoc generated stuff relatively clean.
