Topic: Rails performance comparison with other web frameworks

I found the following comparison test:

http://www.jtict.com/blog/rails-wicket- … -lift-jsp/

in which RoR is unfortunately far from being the best. What do you think, can we trust it?

Re: Rails performance comparison with other web frameworks

I wouldn't place too much validity on the benchmark,  it's interesting for what it is,  bit it's not really a REAL WORLD benchmark.

When would you worry about this performance?  When you're in production!

If that's the case,  why bother benchmarking WebBrick?

Now if the benchmark included Rails running under fusion passenger, with proper caching enabled,  the results would be quite different!

It's interesting,  but not something you'd take seriously if choosing a platform for production.

Joe got a job, on the day shift, at the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen, arrogantly twisting the sterile canvas snout of a fully charged icing anointment utensil.

I am rather sure that the test was made by a Tapestry protagonist  smile.
Thank you for sharing your opinion.
