Topic: Seeking tutorial on creating a basic MVC project without command-line.

Hi, I'm trying to develop an app using c9.io and most of the ROR tutorials I'm find use the command-line. I was hoping someone could point me towards a ROR tutorial that goes over creating folders and files for an MVC app rather than working with the command-line. Thanks in advance.

Re: Seeking tutorial on creating a basic MVC project without command-line.

By using the command-line and running needed generators, you will respect the integrity of the project and Rails convention. Why to bother and create everything manually if by running just

rails new my_app_name

will create you a ready to use RoR skeleton of the application?
If you really don't like the CLI, you can use an IDE like AptanaStudio, Netbeans for free or Jetbrains or TextMate if you are ready to pay a symbolic amount for the license. They will use the CLI behind the scenes and you will just have to choose some available Menu options to generate the stuff you need.
Remember, Rail is Convention Over Configuration smile and just enjoy it.
