Topic: Using a : in a URL? routes.rb help!

I am trying to use a : in the URL mapping.  Because of integration with another system I am needing to accept a POST back URL that contains a : in the URL.  I have set it up in the routes.rb but when calling the URL with the : it returns a match not found response.  How can I map

: are reserved characters and are not allowed in an unencoded url for anything other than their reserved purpose as per http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3987

What you want and what you need are too often not the same thing!
