Topic: recognation failed - ?!

Hi there,

When I was making examples form "Rolling with Ruby on Rails" (
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2005 … rails.html ) , after
generating controller MyTest, the WEBrick server ( localhost:3000 )
reported an error:

recognation failed /MyTest

The WEBrick server was started form correct directory, what else can
crush in that way ?

Cheers.

Re: recognation failed - ?!

Try accessing it with an underscore: http://localhost:3000/my_test

Re: recognation failed - ?!

oh, it does work! so the reason was the out-of-date tutorial ? Have the naming convetion changed ?

Re: recognation failed - ?!

The tutorial is way out of date (over a year and a half old), but that wasn't the problem. It appears that the tutorial correctly has an underscore in the URL. Perhaps you misread it? (Edit: oh, the image is incorrect, but the text of the article is correct.)

I wouldn't be surprised if there are problems with the tutorial, but if it is working so far then it may be okay. smile

Re: recognation failed - ?!

I was trying differnet spell options with "MyTest" ,but but i didn't try lowercase - the tutorial was made on win32 , I run casesensitive Unix. That was the reason.

Thanks a lot.
Cheers.
