Topic: dzone - Digg for Developers

I just came across this site called dzone which is basically Digg for developers.  It now has a Ruby category, and so I just added a link for Rails Forum:

http://www.dzone.com/links/rails_forum_ … by_on.html

Digg has it's own programming section, but the RoR content is a little sparse and it is very tough to get stuff on the main page there, so dzone may be a better place to find RoR content. smile

Feel free to post any interesting stuff to dzone that you do here. big_smile

Re: dzone - Digg for Developers

Weird, apparently I already had an account there.  I don't remember ever going there.

Re: dzone - Digg for Developers

Don'tcha just love when that happens?  A few weeks ago on another forum I visit, someone was asking for an invite to Orkut... turned out I had an account there from 2 years ago that I didn't know about with invites aplenty. wink

You know, I never thought to do it before... but I might as well submit this forum to Digg while I'm at it: http://digg.com/programming/Rails_Forum … sion_forum

I was a Digg virgin up until now (look, but never touch wink).

Re: dzone - Digg for Developers

I've been using digg to spread some of my blog posts.  It works fairly well, but from what I understand, most of what makes it to the front pages is curiously from a small group of diggers.

Yeah, I think I saw a stat on that as well.  You usually get pretty good traffic regardless. smile

My two biggest gripes with Digg are 1. that it is very slooooooow for me, and 2. that their captcha images are a pain to read and I often input them wrong.
