Topic: Routing broken for assets in 'public' subfolders

I just deployed my (fully functional) Rails app to my web server and the stylesheets and images appear to be routed away.

Here's my entire route.rb file, nearly stock except for the root route to the frontpage controller

    map.connect '', :controller => "frontpage"
    map.connect ':controller/service.wsdl', :action => 'wsdl'
    map.connect ':controller/:action/:id.:format'
    map.connect ':controller/:action/:id'

None of my images or stylesheets are linkable.  When I copy/paste the direct address of one of my images I get

    no route found to match "/images/title.png" with {:method=>:get}

When I look at the 'Activity' window in Safari it shows all linked stylesheets and images as 'Not found'.

I'm trying not to throw anything heavy at this point.

Re: Routing broken for assets in 'public' subfolders

After following many false leads about Rails routing it turns out I had a problem with my .htaccess file.  I had uncommented the FastCGI support line which sits ABOVE the 'RewriteEngine On' line.  Apparently this is not good.  I simply commented it out again and modified the generic dispatch.cgi rewrite rule to use the dispatch.fcgi and it started working.
