Topic: Subversion question

When I am deploying it's erroring out about how there is no database.yml

What I did is rename database.yml to database.example and ignored database.yml - how would I have a permanent unchangeable copy of database.yml in the repository, that doesn't get downloaded, but sits there for deployment, and if anyone else wants to work on the project they just change database.example to database.yml (my goal)

So somehow I did it wrong, and there is no database.yml anymore on the server. sad

Re: Subversion question

You did it right, for each developer or production deployment of your app you will need to rename database.example to database.yml.

My team does it this way and haven't had any troubles.
