Re: Application error (Rails)

Hi! From here I can't say anything about it. It could be everything from a missing database.yml to a function call from a nil-pointer.

3 aproaches:
1. Switch to development mode, so you get more information about the error. (*not* recommended when your server is accessable from the internet!)
2. Or look in you log files for errormessages.
3. Or You could use exception notifier. See here for a short install tutorial:

Dieter

PS: my english isn't better :-)

Re: Application error (Rails)

Hi, Dieter
That controller works without database, so could the file .yml be the problem?
Thank you, now i try to do that passages, but i don't know how can change in development mode.

Regards

PS :i have rubygems.

Re: Application error (Rails)

If you are using webrick as server (command ruby script/server) you can start it with
ruby script/server -e development
to use the develpment environment.

If you're not using webrick, which server do you use to run your application?

Re: Application error (Rails)

Are you really using Webrick as a production server?

Re: Application error (Rails)

Re: Application error (Rails)

Maybe you should use mongrel instead... It's almost as easy to use as webrick is.
