Topic: What to associate?

Hello, I am getting confused about how i should design the database.

I have 3 tables, USER, TASKS, TYPES.

I am creating a to-do list application. My current design is that each USER has many TASKS, and the TASKS belong to the USER and TYPE, and the TYPE belongs to the USER. I am sure there is a better way to do this, maybe a 4th table of tasks_types?

Thanks

Sam

i think the way you described your relations would work nicely. I don't think there is a need for a 4th table... always keep it as simple as possible..
