Topic: What's in your Feed Reader?

I just got my shiny copy of NetNewsWire and am finally beginning to love this RSS goodness.

here are some of the feeds Im rocking

I guess RSS isn't really for everyone...I recently discovered the joy with this program, which makes it much more intuitive than Safari. Maybe you should consider switching apps?

I've used Newsfire, NNW, and Vienna. I tend to get about the same mileage out of all 3. I follow a couple of blogs but most of the ones I visit update so infrequently I usually just visit the site in Safari or whatever first.

Re: What's in your Feed Reader?

You can read a couple of thoughts I have about RSS feeds here: http://www.almosteffortless.com/2006/08 … -overload/

...but I'm surprised to hear that you guys aren't RSS junkies. I don't know how I'd get by without it, honestly. I think you've got to use a dedicated desktop app, though, for the speed. I like NNW at lot, but I'm hoping that Apple Mail is going to come out with some really nice RSS features that push the "RSS as Email" metaphor so people start to really get it. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a real boom in RSS (not that there hasn't been one already) in the next few years.

Re: What's in your Feed Reader?

I probably track about 25-30 blogs on a daily basis (mostly web 2.0 news-types -- which is kind of my job).  And also reload Techmeme every few seconds. wink
