Topic: Newbie - Installing Ruby / Rails on openSuSE 10.2

To give you an idea of how much of a newbie i am - i've used openSusE as a webserver for a few years on and off for PHP websites and MySQL with Apache. I moved over to openSuSE 10.2 about 2 weeks ago and now use it as opposed to Windows (i had enough of windows Vista) and i'm getting along fine with it.

I want to start learning Ruby / Rails so in YaST Software Manager searched for Ruby and installed what i found (after some research on the web). It doesn't work.

I've been googling all day - i'm lost. I've just removed ruby, apache, mysql, fastcgi and will put down mysql and apache again.

What do i need to do to get Ruby / Rails on my laptop so i can start playing!!!

If you know of any tutorials please let me know!
