Topic: ERROR MissingSourceFile: no such file to load -- irb

Ok I've got ruby installed on a new Fedora Core 5,
I've installed rails following the tutorial in Agile Web Development with Rails
I've created a demo app OK.
I've started WEBrick using the script/server script
When I browse http://localhost:3000/ I get the welcome page and the server logs
the request OK  -- So far so good!

When I try to run any rails script from the browser eg by clicking the link in
the web page (http://localhost:3000/rails/info/properties) or by pointing the
browser at http://localhost:3000/say/hello I get a blank browser and the message
ERROR MissingSourceFile: no such file to load -- irb from WEBrick

I try running irb from the command line - it's not there.
I look at Fedora's linux package manager and all the ruby boxes are checked.
I check usr/bin & usr/lib and the ruby stuff all appears, though I don't se irb anywhere.

Anybody help?

Re: ERROR MissingSourceFile: no such file to load -- irb

Try installing irb separately.

On the Fedora command line I think you can use this:

yum install irb

I'm not sure if irb is available to install though; I know it works on Ubuntu.

Yup! That did the trick and I'm back on the rails again!

Many thanks.
