Topic: Is textile built in rails?

I knew this plugin for rails and i knew that for its support in rails i obviously had to install it to use textile in rails. Then i saw the famous screencast of the blog in 25 minutes (from rails official site) and i see that the helper method "textilize" is already there in rails ready to use. So i imagine that i have to install nothing. Am i right? Will this change in rails 2?

Re: Is textile built in rails?

I highly recommend this plugin

You'll need the Redcloth gem as well:

gem install redcloth

Re: Is textile built in rails?

Install RedCloth and you can use the textilize TextHelper

<%=textilize("Hello *world*")%> #=> Hello world
