Topic: New website developed using RoR

Hey Guys

Just thought I would let other RoR developers know we have just built or first website using RoR.  Between 2 developers for 4 months and 4 developers for another 2 months with all of us having j2ee backgrounds we managed to get a reasonably sized RoR up into production for its 1st cut.

Check it out here www.scoodi.com . It is a giveaway/buy/sell in you local area website. We are based in Brisbane, Australia, so probably wont find many items outside of our area. Though we hope it grows into other areas and becomes successful outside of Brisbane or Australia for that matter.

Currently we are running Apache, with 4 mongrel servers and mysql it seems to handle the current load pretty well.

If you have any feedback on the site you can post it here or via the feedback link on the footer of the scoodi website. Any other questions or comments post it in this thread. Feel free to sign up and list items smile

I Like the idea and the design, which is clean and simple.

Re: New website developed using RoR

If by scripts you mean plugins then yes, lots - http://www.railsify.com

However, there are also plenty of open source Rails apps you can look at to learn from.
