Re: Netbeans 6 beta with full ruby and rails support!

Hi

I am trying to get Netbeans to work with InstantRails and am not having any luck.

I have previously been using Aptana RadRails.

I have tried to follow this guide:

http://weblogs.java.net/blog/bleonard/a … ils_w.html

But i don't know understand this part:

# Create an environment variable named RUBY_HOME that points to the Ruby location within Instant Rails. For example: C:\Software\Ruby\InstantRails-1.6-win\InstantRails\ruby.
# Add %RUBY_HOME%\bin to your Path environment variable.

Can anyone explain to me what this involves?

When i create new rails project, i can' seen any file structure. I have pointed netbeans to instant rails ruby...

Thanks,

PJ.

Netbeans 6.0 has finally been released. You can download the full version or get a version that only has the ruby components which is much smaller.
