Topic: Breadcrumbs with REST

I would like to create breadcrumbs for an app built on REST. I think it should be pretty easy (in theory) to build the breadcrumbs directly from the requested URI because of the way the URI structure is nested already (i.e. http://myapp.com/artists/1/releases/2/tracks/1 == Artists >> Releases >> Tracks)

I just need a vigorous prodding in the right direction to get started. Regular Expressions? Hmmm.... could get messy. Maybe some nifty built-in methods I don't already know about?

I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks, so I wondered what do Chinese mothers use. Toothpicks?

Re: Breadcrumbs with REST

I don't have much experience with nested resources, but checkout the parameters listed in the development log when calling that page. Perhaps they are included in there somewhere and you can grab them with params[].
