Topic: Test::Rails -- Some Strange Interaction

A regular test_helper.rb works fine for my tests and my test classis Test::Unit::TestCase

If I require test/rails prior to requiring test_help (no other changes), I get an immediate failure:

./test/functional/../test_helper.rb:19: undefined method `use_transactional_fixtures=' for Test::Unit::TestCase:Class (NoMethodError)

So, I change the class to Test::Rails::TestCase, the failure persists.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Re: Test::Rails -- Some Strange Interaction

I've also got the same problem. Have u been trying to use zentest?

I got fed up of trying to make it run properly here. So ... i decided to make a small DSL (totally similar to rspec) and some helper methods to watch me. I've built them onto traditional rails test framework. So far everything is running beautifully.

if u want, we can discuss further about this alternative.

Re: Test::Rails -- Some Strange Interaction

I finally got to a blocking point, as I said, and moved to rSpec and rspec_on_rails for my tests. While not without its set of issues, it better describes the domain I'm testing that Test::Unit. I also wrote a small DSL, but with a rich one I can't use like Test::Rails and one I can like rSpec, I opted for the already-done rSpec.

Thoughts?
