Topic: Guides to Installing GIT on OS X Tiger

Anyone know a great guide on setting up GIT on OS X Tiger. All the stuff I've seen is for Leopard. Any help would be great. big_smile

If you install from source in your terminal it will be the same.

I've been battling with getting git installed too. Have you figured it out yet sydney?

I used Macports to install git.
After you install Macports (it also needs Xcode) and setup your terminal path (you can find documentation on their website) install git with "sudo port install git-core". Add " +svn" if you need git-svn.

To upgrade it use "sudo port selfupdate" and "sudo port upgrade outdated".
