Topic: Problem using TextMate

Hi,

I have a project in ruby. When i run the project on windows (Netbeans) it runs fine, but when i try to run the same application on Mac using TextMate, it throws me an error "MissingSourceFile: no such file to load -- app/controllers/application". I verified that the file is very much there.

I then created a new project from scratch but again the same problem. One thing, i'm currently using trial version of TextMate.

Can anyone help me regarding this?

Re: Problem using TextMate

How are you running it through textmate? What command are you using? What version of Rails?

Re: Problem using TextMate

i'm using command+R command to run the file. I have rails 2.1.2 version, gems 1.3.1 and ruby 1.8.6

Re: Problem using TextMate

I know this problem appears if you have renamed the application.rb file to application_controller.rb which will only be compulsory starting with Rails 2.3.

Re: Problem using TextMate

Also why would you run a Rails app via TextMate and not in the browser.

Re: Problem using TextMate

I experienced this trouble seems if you have called the applications programme.rb file to application controller.rb which will only be mandatory beginning with Rails 2.3.

Re: Problem using TextMate

then perhaps you should not use the textmate then...
