Topic: update of a Notifier in models in production environment

Hi,

I have written an app that sends an email using the notifier. I have an online production environment and the email works as expected. However, I have added some new fields in the email and parameters in the notifier method that are passed to the notifier view to be inserted in the email. However, when i copy the new notifier.rb file to the models directory in the production environment the changes do not seem to be picked up - though they are in my development environment.

How does one get the notifier file to update??

thanks for any input.

Production environment caches the models and controllers it uses.  This makes things run much quicker but it means that to update the model you'll have to restart the web server.
