Topic: Remove Ruby From Server

Hi All,

I am running a Linux server and ftp'd Ruby onto my server, it was the wrong version that I wanted... How can I remove this using the command line terminal?

Cheers,
Tom

Re: Remove Ruby From Server

you can remove file by typing this:

rm filename

if you need to remove a whole folder and everything underneath it, try this:

rm -rf foldername

but be careful with that second one - there's no Recycle Bin in Linux!

The chances are good that any copy of Ruby you upload won't work all that well.  Linux likes things to be compiled right on it so it knows that the program will work with that machine's particular tendencies.

May I ask which hosting provider you're using for this server?
